Step Up Bisbee/Naco started in 1998 when a group of people saw that many of their neighbors needed help with the upkeep on their homes.

Step Up Bisbee/Naco (SUBN) is dedicated to keeping low-income, elderly, and/or disabled homeowners living in our community warm, safe, and independent through home repair and rehabilitation services.

SUBN has traditionally been a community-based, volunteer, 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to assuring that elderly, mentally and physically disabled, and/or low-income persons can remain in their homes safely, with dignity and independence, through home repair/rehabilitation services, weatherization and accessibility.

The Work Force Housing Initiative is a newly added program where SUBN has forged a partnership with the City of Bisbee and Southeast Arizona Renovations, LLC to purchase discounted/donated, dilapidated houses in blighted neighborhoods.

The homes are either demolished and built new or refurbished to sell in an affordable housing program to moderate income police officers, fire/EMS personnel, hospital workers, school employees/teachers, and City employees at up to a 20% discount from appraised value as an incentive for RECRUITMENT and RETAINMENT of vital workers.
